HELPING TO SUCCEED
Someone has to come up with a proposal, a concept, or a plan. No matter if a company is in the business for decades or if you are working on a new idea: Never before in history the market was driven by innovation cycles that were so short. The way we use or buy products is changing faster at the same time as the demands users have towards technology and the fulfilling of desires.
Over the last 20 years, I have been the sparring partner for colleagues from a number of different departments. I am driven by the belief, that IT can help to make things better. As a consulting developer, I am offering practical experiences I gained over many years from working for top German eCommerce brands such as REWE and Lidl.
I have also worked more than 15 years in the startup world. Today, I use my knowledge to create applications which are useful and solve problems people have. If necessary, I am creating concepts and technical pipelines in order to make digital solutions work (better). But I am also experienced in challenging concepts as well as plans from others and justify my opinions.
FROM STRATEGY TO DESIGN
If the concept and the roadmap for the application are clear, we can proceed to the actual implementation. A web developer like I is usually way more than just doing plain coding: The goal is to create a highly useful product.

CREATING INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
An important factor for the success of a project is the way a website/app is structured and how the content is organized. The goal is to help users find information and complete tasks. Here, information architecture kicks in. It is the creation of a structure for a website, application, or other project, that allows us to understand where we are as users, and where the information we want is in relation to our position. The results of work in the fields of technical guidance is the creation of meta data, site maps, hierarchies, categorizations, navigation, and more. When any content strategist begins separating content and dividing it into categories, he is also practicing information architecture. And when a designer sketches a top level menu to help users understand where they are on a site, he is doing this as well.
I can provide product and technical advise, thanks to qualifications and experiences in the B2B and B2C fields:
Creating information architecture and giving technical advise is a wide field. In the past, the focus of my work in his field were especially related to proposing frontends, backends and IT-driven business processes. Some work was not technical at all, such as creating legal documents for strategic decisions in the field of IT and documenting success.
Besides working on strategy and giving advise, I am also used to manage a variety of digital projects.
